Sorry, I had hoped to get this sorted yesterday, but things didn't go my way. But today..today!
All in all we got almost 1700 replies. To no surprise the respondents (that is, people on the global forum) are way more active than the general user and they also played Hattrick for a longer time.
- 82% spend more than 3 hours a week on Hattrick (63% more than 5)
- 69% have played longer than 3 years, and 91% longer 1 year
- 78% are Supporters
And most replies are from Western Europe, which is no surprise either.
I guess this may not be what you think is the most interesting, but even thought it isn't surprising it tells a lot about the global forum users. You're way more active and played a lot longer than the average user, which then also means you're not really representative for the average user either. This doesn't make your opinions matter less, but it's important to have in the back of your head.
And now for something completely different..: Some results
Among all things in the survey,
re-introduce CHPP is the most wanted. And as you all probably know, this will also happen relatively soon.
The least wanted is
to remove NT/U20, and it will of course not happen either (sorry mr C). To be honest, I kept this in the survey purely out of curiosity (bad, naughty me

).
Match engine relatedMost wanted: Include injuries in conditional subs (44% do it now, 31% do it some time)
Second most: More tactical options (35% / 36%)
Least wanted: No direct free kicks (64% don't do that)
However, this entry should've been phrased differently as I mentioned earlier on. Now it sounded like they should be removed, which wasn't the intention (it was rather that even direct free kicks should work like indirect ones). On a related note, "All SP's (and if possible SE's) should have a rating analogous to the other match ratings" got a totally different result (50% Do it now or some time, and only 15% don't do that).
Worth mentioning here is also the often discussed random (or semi-random) cup draw. 32% say do it now, and 33% don't do that.
Match presentation and ratingsMost wanted: Present all chances (42% / 25%, but also 17% don't do that)
Second most: Ratings for separate times in t
